Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vireo email client (the “App”) and the website vireo.hyprlab.co (the “Site”), together the “Services,” provided by Hyprlab (“we,” “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The software and its license
Vireo is free and open-source software released under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPLv3). Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the App are governed by that license. Where anything in these Terms conflicts with the AGPLv3 as it applies to the software itself, the AGPLv3 controls for the software.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the email accounts and credentials you connect to Vireo, and for complying with the terms of your email and identity providers.
- You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and not to misuse them or interfere with their operation.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and of the accounts you access through the App.
Third-party services
Vireo connects directly to third-party email and identity providers you choose (for example, Google or Microsoft). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their handling of your data. How Vireo handles data is described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data (including cached mail) will not be lost. This section is consistent with the disclaimer of warranty in the AGPLv3.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Hyprlab or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Changes to the Services and these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Services at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected here with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
